"JUST ADD WATER"

Good Morning Thankfulites,

I pray this mornings devotional finds you in God's peace.  

This morning I was up early cleaning the fish aquarium.  Because of the build up of algae and grime I regularly empty the tank of the water to clean the filth out.  As I emptied the water from the tank I got an analogy of how God works in our lives as believers.  When God wants to get your attention or reach certain areas in your life he allows you to go through seasons of abounding and abasing to create a willing heart that he can work on.  You may go through a time of vulnerability or even humiliation, but God in his grace allows these times to get to the root of issues that can only be addressed when things look a little scary.  

I saw the fish get a little worried when the water sank to levels that almost exposed them.  You might be there now, feeling a bit exposed or uncovered, but let me remind you, God knows exactly how far to allow the waters to recede without you being harmed in any way.  He wants to clean the tank of your life.  Don't panic! God is in control and he will fill the tank back up just as soon as he cleans things up in your life.  He is a great Shepherd and wants only the best for you!  So keep the faith in every season of your life even when it looks a little dry.  

God is just about to add water!  Let the abundance begin to flow into your situation today.  By the time I left for work this morning not only was the tank clean but the water was back up to higher levels than before!
